A Distraction Or An Opportunity? A Look At Music Games

There have been many opinions about this topic. Due to the releases of games such as Rock Band and Guitar Hero, many people have been questioning whether or not it distracts kids from the to play the real guitar. Many say it does since it takes the same amount of time to learn a real guitar rather than playing a plastic instruments. Others say that it can help with rhythm and technique. However, who is right and who is wrong?

Honestly, there is no real answer to this question. I can see how people can become irritated, with them learning for years and years to play the real guitar and then seeing some little kid pretending to be a rock star. However, music games are not supposed to be a distraction in any way. In the image above, it shows how people play the guns for one reason, to have fun. There is nobody who would say that they're good at an isntrument because they played it on a plastic instrument. So really it shouldn't be a problem to anyone.
